Desktop to rack conversion

Neural offers a desktop-to-rack server conversion service. We can convert almost any standard tower or desktop case server into a 2RU rack mount chasis. Conversion comes at a once-off fee, that includes lease of the rackmount chasis for the duration of your co-location with Neural.

What's the benifit of doing this?

A standard ATX / tower case, when lying on it's side occupies about 4-5 rack unit's of space. Standard ATX cases generally have a lot of empty space inside them, so mounting a server in a rack in this form is often very inefficient, and costs you the additional monthly fee's for the extra 2-3 rack unit's the machine is taking up unnecissarily. Neural solves this problem by offering a consolidation service, packaging your server into a 2 rack unit chasis, with far less wasted space.

How do i get it?

Simply add 2 rack unit's of co-location, and the "Tower to rack mount conversion" option to your order, and a Neural sales representative will contact you to discuss the details. Neural will arrange shipping of your server (in its original form) to our office, where we will convert it into a rack mount chasis.

Notes

Not all servers can be converted, dependant of the dimensions of individual components. If this is the case, Neural will offer the option of returning the machine, co-locating it in it's exising form, or can provide a quotation for any new parts required to make conversion possible.

If you discontinue the service, your server will be converted back into it's original form, and shipped back to you as it was received.
